No. Under the law, if you were injured at work, the only insurer we can bill for your care is the one who provides your company’s workers’ compensation coverage.
When you’re injured at work, you are responsible for alerting your employer, who in turn is responsible for alerting the insurer that provides your company with workers’ compensation coverage. You are also responsible for accurately filling out any forms the workers’ compensation insurer sends to you and returning them in a timely fashion.
